Biography
British punk rock pioneers who invented Rock Against Communism, led by frontman Ian Stuart Donaldson (RIP). The band started off Tumbling Dice, a Rolling Stones cover band. They played traditional punk from 1976 to 1979. Ian Stuart then reformed the band with a more aggressive tone and skinhead image in 1982. Skrewdriver invented RAC by merging oi/punk music, skinhead subculture and radical right wing politics. The band stopped when Ian Stuart died in a car crash in 1993.
